Case Study

CLIENT: ATKINS RAIL
PROJECT: RUGBY ALLIANCE

The Brief

To install communications, data and power cables trackside on a 30 mile stretch of railway. We were responsible for the loading, unloading and laying of cable, using the cable train and hand-pulling cable using a variety of methods. Work had to be completed to strict train timetables.

The Solution

Using directly employed PTS card holders, we undertook extensive night-time and weekend working, meticulously planning the project to ensure full commitment to set deadlines.

Client's Comments

"In times of extreme difficulty with shortened, disrupted and even cancelled 'possessions' of the Rugby Alliance section of the railway, your planning and management team have demonstrated their ability to be helpful, flexible and focused in achieving what have been very 'stretched targets'."

"I have audited most of the original works and have been very impressed with the standard of the works. Whilst contract work is almost complete, the changes introduced by our client have had a major impact on our ability to safeguard the final commissioning. The extra work you are continuing to undertake has, in no small part, contributed to the belief and improved confidence that we can still deliver the works required."
